Getting my handstand groove back on after some tim Getting my handstand groove back on after some time away 🤸🏻‍♂️.

Here’s a combo I’ve been working in the order of the clips as shown for 4-5 sets:

1. GHD thoracic extension (I typically work some contract-relax followed by a hanging hold).

2. Tuck HS holds (getting more consistent with the head tuck but it sometimes ends up being more of a standard variation with eyes down).

3. Standing loaded spine flexion (to help offset some of that hard extension work).

I’ve been finishing with some bridge work (not shown) as all of that prior thoracic and shoulder opening for the tuck HS sets up those demands of the bridge perfectly ↩️.

Lets see where this format goes over the next few weeks 🤙🏼.

A variation I like to use mostly after lower body based sessions, but just spending some time here and there is always nice ⏱️.

Once I’m in my deepest position, I’ll aim to hold for around 1-2 mins whilst focusing on deep inhales and slow exhales to help the body (and mind) relax 🫁.

Then over to the other side.

I typically start with the staggered setup at the beginning and progress to stacking both feet - this adds further demand to the stretch and also on grip strength ✊🏼.

I’ve been using this pair towards the end of my lower body session to help create and save some space, whilst building strength and control in these ranges 🌐.
